Kevin Fluffy Kouw Family Relief Fund #33strong
Donation protected
01/10/2025 Update: Fluffy spent 18 days in the ICU at Meijer Heart Center, battling numerous obstacles during his stay there (surgeries, tracheotomy, ventilator weaning, feeding tube, a month of antibiotics). He transferred to Blodgett Select Specialty Rehab on 12/18 for just under three weeks, which proved to be a time requiring a lot of advocacy on his behalf, by his other half. His progress would not have been possible without Rachael by his side every day! Fluffy moved this week (1/07/25) to a nursing and rehabilitation center much closer to home, where the hope and prayer is he will begin receiving much needed therapy as he continues to gain strength and make small steps toward healing.
This GoFundMe was started knowing his recovery journey would be a journey, and as the medical bills continue, household bills continue, and no income continues, it is just as needed now as it was in the beginning. The family continues to covet your prayers and is deeply grateful for the generosity they have seen poured out toward them. Let’s continue to show them our love and support in any and all ways we can! Stay #33strong

On Sunday, December 1st, Fluffy collapsed at home, unable to breathe due to several large blood clots in his lungs. He was rushed to the hospital and soon transferred to Meijer Heart Center in Grand Rapids. Since then, Fluffy has faced several complications including an infection in his brain and multiple strokes. While we don’t have many clear answers at this moment, it is clear that his journey is going to be a long one. With this comes medical bills, no income, and household bills which will continue to come due.
The care, concern, and support from so many who have reached out has been a blessing and encouragement. Those who know Fluffy know how important family is to him, and right now we have the opportunity to show our love and support to him and his family by donating to help cover medical and household expenses. We’re setting our starting goal at $33,000 with hopes we’re all able to have a part in showing #33strong how much we love him. There is no donation amount too small or too big, and you may choose to donate anonymously or with a message of care and support for the family. We all know Fluff and Rachael would never want to ask for financial help, but anyone who knows them also knows they will be the first one’s there to help those they care about. If financial support is not possible at this time, the family covets your continued prayers as we eagerly wait for him to wake up.
