Help Njna get back to America. GOAL 1 of 2.

Hi, my name is Jamie, I am a transwoman, and most people know me online as Njna Grimsdottir, the Rabbit Queen. Originally from the USA, I've made the Netherlands my home for the past decade; a place where I've been able to live openly and authentically. Dancing is not just my passion, but it's a way of expression, which I've shared during my streams on Twitch for the last four years. Unfortunately, some bad things have happened, which is why I need to ask for your help.

Five years ago, after I had finally come out, my family, friends and employer were very supportive. But not all of that support was genuine. My long-term partner, at that point, feigned support but was apparently planning to leave me. At the same time, I had started to go through with my transition, and at first, everything was fine. But as my medical appointments became more frequent, my employer started reducing my hours until I could no longer pay my bills. This is when my partner decided to leave me about 6 months ago. She took all our shared savings (nearly 15.000€) and disappeared to Chile, her home country. What hurts most is that some of this money was given to me by the government to finally get my top surgery.

I have been unemployed for nearly 18 months now, searching for jobs the entire time, doing side work, trying to get any bits I can, but it's not enough; there is just too much debt.

As it stands now, I am broke, in debt, and out of food. I'm about to miss my first month of rent and have been unable to pay any bills this month. Additionally, I'll have to pay the government money back if I don't get my surgery in the next 6 months. Worst of all, my residency in the Netherlands is at immediate risk of getting revoked, meaning I have to return to the USA where I have even less support structure than here and will be forced to give up all my possessions (computer, vr gear, my art supplies and everything dear) as there's no way I can afford to move anything overseas with me. I'm in really deep trouble if I can't get this sorted out soon.

Here is a breakdown of the funds I'm asking for since people deserve to know what they are helping with:

Debt for trying to live the last 18 months: 8400€

Electricity/Gas back payments: 3200€

Tax back payments: 9700€

Surgery funds: 4600€

All starting funds will go towards active bills, rent, food, etc.

I didn't want to reach out like this, but I am left with no other options at this point. Please help me get back on my feet. Any help is appreciated, whether it is by donating, sharing my campaign, or simply sending words of encouragement; every little bit helps. Your support will do more than just help me survive this critical period; it will allow me to get back on my feet and rebuild my life so that I can continue my passion for dance, which has been a source of hope and joy for me.
