Buddy Carroll Cremation Fund
Buddy Carroll was more than just a father and a husband. Buddy saved lives. He was a healer by nature, and could not bear to witness suffering. Buddy has risked his own life on numerous occasions to save the lives of others. Buddy Carroll was a legendary helicopter pilot. He fought in Vietnam as a W.O. helicopter pilot who flew two tours of duty without ever reporting injury. After which he spent his career as a helicopter pilot slinging logs for the industry in Grey's Harbor Washington. Throughout all of the trials and tribulations of his life he remained upbeat and strong. He was a survivor, a provider, and a man who earned every pound of respect he deserved. His was truly a beautiful man who adored nature, and strived for knowledge. Buddy Carroll passed away Oct. 7, 2014 after fighting cancer, chemo, and radiation. His struggle has finally ended and he is no longer in pain.
Buddy Carroll would still be alive and active today if it weren't for the VAs negligence. The VA refuses to pay a cent toward a hero who was decorated with 26 Oak Leaf Clusters. The VA refused to assist him with the cost of treatment which left his family in immense credit card debt. FIght the VA and help the family of a hero who was left behind.
Unfortunately, we, his family, are unable to pay for the most basic cremation. We are providing the jar for an urn because we cannot afford the cremation let alone any extras. We are reaching out for help paying the $1,015.36 fees so that Buddy Carroll may be put to rest, and so his family may have the closure which they so desperately are in need. Anything you are able to donate will be appreciated more than words may adequately express.
