Due to the tragic loss of Wyatt Romines, one of our former wrestlers, we have decided to shift the focus of the GoFundMe funds raised. A scholarship fund is being created in his name. These funds will be used to provide a scholarship to a wrestler that is planning on going to college and has overcome hardships. Though the funds will no longer go to offsetting costs of our season it will now help wrestlers propel themselves after leaving the program, which will have an ever lasting effect.
We will still create a sign and names will be displayed at the the scramble. This year the funds will be run through our club that is a non-profit organization.
We appreciate your support of our wrestling family in these hard times.
We are once again raising money for the upcoming wrestling season. With everything going on this year business sponsorships have been down a little so any donations are greatly appreciated.
Our program has seen a great deal of success over the last 5 years with 9 state qualifiers, 6 state placers and 1 State Champion. This success is in large part to the tremendous financial support we have received from our community and wrestling alumni.
In the past this has been an avenue for alumni, friends and family to support the team if they are not able to participate in the golf scramble. Every year a sign is created and names are displayed at the golf scramble.
The funds raised allow our wrestlers to participate in our program at zero cost to them and pays for such items as gear, singlets and hotels. We fully expect to have a season this year, but on the off chance we are not able to, we plan on using the funds raised to purchase a wrestling mat for the program.
