FLOWERS FOR FRENCHY

Hi, my name is Nikki Wade, the eldest daughter of Rauleign Conden Lamont Jr., most affectionately known as "Frenchy"or "Papa Condé".

An avid poet, skillful linguist and a most notably accomplished musician, Frenchy travelled from his hometown of New York city, to permanently reside in the Pacific Northwest, over 50 years ago. For most of these years, if he wasn't charming you with his great big smile and hearty laugh, you could find him drumming live on stage or at the park, bringing joy to little children as "Black Santa" or enthralling people with "life stories" from his global travels. Anyone who's ever known this endearing man, knows that he is a loving spirit, with an open and generous heart. He literally is the true living definition of the phrase "he'll give you the shirt off of his back". For so long, he has given so much to so many without ever asking for anything in return. Which leads me to why I am creating this GoFundMe.

Frenchy is now suffering from dementia and over the last 2 weeks, his illness has progressed rapidly. Although my awesome baby brother Tracy and his beautiful wife Abby have been great caregivers to him, he is in dire need of round the clock assisted care, which can be very expensive and not completely covered by insurance. Our family is coming together to pool our resources, but it isn't quite enough. So in the spirit of reciprocity and love, any donation given to help provide for his daily care, medical bills and other associated needs, would be greatly appreciated. No amount is too small, every little bit helps and most importantly, it comes from a love space. We want Frenchy "Papa Condé" to be as comfortable as possible and receive his flowers while he is still here and that can be achieved with your help.

Frenchy is getting an extensive medical work-up at Swedish Hospital, that requires him to be admitted overnight. However, he is in good spirits and is thankful to everyone for their well-wishes.
