Flowering Minds; Edu for Florist & Hound Design

Hello! My name is Klaudia Szymel, I am the founder, owner and lead designer of Florist & Hound Design; a sustainable art-focused event florist concentrated on weddings, events and editorial floral design. My floral journey began 7 years ago when I purchased my first floral design book and got to work studying and practicing. My floral career education has been a combination of independent learning from books and social media research along with learning on the job. As my knowledge grew, so did my career and eventually my business. A year and a half ago I transitioned Florist & Hound Design into my full-time job. I could not be more grateful for this.

After having time to get my footing as a business owner, I've realized it's now time to take my knowledge and my business to the next level. I applied for a 1:1 intensive mentorship program with one of the industry leaders in the sustainable floral industry, brought by the founder of Flowering Minds and Color Theory Floral Design. This opportunity was by application, with one candidate selected to revise this mentorship program. To my surprise, I WAS SELECTED! For those of you, not familiar with this, this is the equivalent of being accepted to Harvard in the floral community. It's a once-in-a-lifetime, life-changing opportunity.

I'm asking for help in funding this opportunity. I am hesitant to ask for help, I don't want to but at the end of the day, I cannot let this get away from me. I need to see what I'm capable of as an artist and as a young woman entrepreneur. It's time to fule education, artisans and local business that is trying to bring sustainably to our economy.
