Support the Florisson Family

Dear friends,

We have created this campaign to rally support for Scott Florisson and his family in this time of need.

As many of you already know, Scott received a shocking and devastating diagnosis of a brain tumour towards the end of September. He was admitted to hospital immediately and underwent surgery to remove the tumour.

Scott’s road to recovery is undoubtedly going to be challenging as he waits to hear what the next steps in his treatment journey will be. What we do know is that he will not be able to work for at least 3 months. Beck's ability to work will also be impacted because of the daily care Scott will require, creating a lot of financial stress and uncertainty for the future. With your generous contributions, we aim to alleviate the financial burden and offer the family some emotional strength moving forward.

A message from Lisa Mueller to the paddling community:

We all know that Scott will be missing his time on the water and in the gym at the moment, and the sooner we can get him back, the better! Even with all the stress of the brain surgery, we are sure that kayaking has been on his mind. Both Scott and Beck are well-known for their kindness and enthusiasm, and for generously giving their time, energy and skills to our paddling community. In fact, almost everywhere you look, there will be a Florisson paddling, timing, organising or cooking, and we are all grateful! It's hard to think of them now facing such a challenging time.
