Floridalma Roque

My name is Jorge Roque and I am the son of the late, and dearly beloved, Floridalma Roque.

Floridalma Roque, an American citizen, disappeared on June 13, 2023, after visiting a clinic in Guatemala City for an aesthetic procedure. 

Following extensive efforts and support from social networks and Guatemalan media, evidence emerged implicating a doctor and three others in her disappearance. Tragically, she was never seen alive again. 

 

Floridalma Roque was a woman, mother, and grandmother, but above all, she was a human being who tragically fell into the hands of a doctor who did not respect her life.           

 

He choose to disappear her body and only after almost a year did he reveal where he had disposed of it. 

This revelation came after a year of suffering and months of fighting in the courts for justice. After a long process during which the criminals finally revealed the location of her body, we, as her immediate family, wish to say goodbye to her properly. 

We want to hold a funeral and have a place to lay her remains where we can visit and grieve after so much suffering.

Therefore, we continue to ask for your support to bid her farewell as she deserves and to sustain the ongoing judicial process in Guatemala. 

This is a lengthy process, and we lack the funds necessary to cover the expenses involved, especially since the main perpetrator of this crime is a wealthy individual with significant political influence in Guatemala. 

We thank you for your support and prayers to achieve justice, allowing my mother to finally rest in peace. Our entire family can then mourn her loss and come to terms with her absence.
