We have made an impact!! We just wrapped up our third gala; each of them memorable in their own right but each bigger and better than before. It was an amazing day, and we cannot be more ecstatic about the outpouring of love and support!!! Onward and upward as we look forward to the rest of 2016 and beyond!!!
Who We Are
We are the Legends of Vinyl, an organization of pioneer club DJs who originated the art of spinning record vinyl that has laid the foundation and has paved the way for the latest and currently changing dance music avenues of today. We were there in dance music's infancy.
Think late 1960s, early 1970s. The list of members of the L.O.V. DJ Hall of Fame has been donated to the Library of Congress in Washington, DC.
We are also an informational service dedicated to teaching the history of the DJ pioneers who revolutionized the industry.

What We Are Doing
In April of 2015 we hosted our very first induction and awards ceremony in Philadelphia where we recognized DJs, studio engineers, radio personalities, promoters, producers, and artists.
Our second gala red carpet event was held in August in Fort Lauderdale. It was a "Night Not To Be Forgotten" featuring an afternoon seminar with two distinguished panels; an awards ceremony honoring iconic and legendary individuals in the music industry; and a fabulous after party.
Fast forward to May 17, 2016, and to Adelphia in Deptford Township, New Jersey, where people came from near and far in bad weather to attend this unforgettable celebration. The support, the talent, the friendship, the passion, the respect, the commitment, and the love that we all have for each other and for the music industry was real, and it was felt by everyone who was there!
Why We Are Doing ThisThe Legends of Vinyl was created to recognize everyone in the music industry, not just Disc Jockeys. We recognize Recording Artists, Recording Engineers, Record Promoters, Producers, and everyone who has had something to contribute. "We Are Family".
Why are these awards so important? They signify that you are held in high regard BY YOUR PEERS. And there is no higher honor than that!! Each award comes from the heart of our organization. We are giving back by taking the lead and leaving our legacy in the right place by giving the respect and recognition to the founders; the people that paved the way.
The 2016 South Florida DJ/Artists Hall of Fame Seminar, Awards Ceremony and After Party
On August 17 we return to Hunters Nightclub in Wilton Manors. The afternoon will begin with two informative panels composed of Legends in the music industry. The event will continue into the evening were we will honor and induct our "Class of 2016". DJ Herbie James will close out the night for your listening and dancing pleasure at our always fabulous after party.
