Hi Everyone,
my name is Florian Thompson - I’m an app developer from Munich, Germany. As much as I enjoy programming, acting has always been my true passion since I have been on stage for the first time at the age of 6. Theatre has been an important part of my life ever since.
During my three years of software development schooling I never let go of my dream to start an acting career. and when I’m not working or teaching parkour I am taking tap classes, working on my singing skills and appearing on stage as cast member of a semi professional regional musical theater. Last year I applied at the William Esper Studio in New York City hoping to get the chance to learn acting from scratch and to learn it from the best– and got accepted! This is the opportunity I have been looking for BUT unfortunately tuition as well as the cost of living is absolutely exceeding my budget. That’s why I am asking for your support – however small it my be – to help bring me a step closer to my dream.
Since you will all be an important part of my journey I will upload videos on a regular basis to keep you all posted about the development of my artistic career. Thank you all so much!

I want to take the chance and thank you, mom, for everything you have done for me throughout the years. Being a single mom it has been a rough road to where we are right now but you never gave up but kept working hard to make ends meet. We never missed a thing when we were kids. Not only are you accepting my decision to move to the US you’re the one motivating me the most to take this huge step. I often talk about Steve Jobs and Elon Musk being my idols but to be honest: you are my true hero and always will be . With your love and your support I feel like I am ready now for NYC to „make you proud of your boy“.

I also want to thank my sister, Sarah for keeping pushing me. I am not sure if I would have dared to aim that high without you and thanks for helping me discover my passions for acting.
