Hi world, my name is Johnathan Flores and I want to make an impact on you, through service. Now, I should probably tell you a little about me and what i want to accomplish so you know where your money is going into
(if you do choose to help this volunteer trip). Right? I am a college student going into my Sophomore year at the University of Iowa (Go Hawks!).
In this past year, my freshman year of college, when there where no football games and I had some down time from classes, I started volunteering through some local organizations around campus, just because I had the free time. Not too long this timekiller became a need in me, now I want to help others, now I need to help others, not because I have nothing else to do but because I can make a change, because I can help someone when they need it, because I can make their day and we can change the world for the better.
A great opportunity has come and I need your help. On the first week of January 2016 the Global Service Iniative will travel to Negril, Jamaica. GSI will help build a school and will help the community. I want to be part of this, to make a difference in the lives of these children and give them all the opportunities I've had. With your help, I believe we can make a difference in their lives and help create a better, brighter, awesomer future for them through education. After all, KNOWLEDGE IS TRUE POWER.
THIS is what I want to do! Make a change, impact peoples lives and better the world.
