Hi, my name is Emily and I am raising funds to help my daughter Florence and our family. Florence has a yet undiagnosed condition that has caused her to have regular seizures, various cognitive problems and a learning disability. On New Years Day 2021 Florrie had a tonic clonic seizure, out of the blue when out for a walk at the beach. She was rushed to hospital, where she had to be ventilated as they were unable to stop the seizures, she recovered and we went home, only to find ourselves back there again a week later, then again the week after that. The situation has continued and Florence has been ventilated 7 times during this period due to seizures, along with regular hospital admissions and seizures at home.

Her dedicated medical team have conducted every test they possibly can, including a brain biopsy, however have yet been able to reach a diagnosis, she has significantly abnormal brain scans, and we do not know what the future holds for Florence.

I would like to raise funds to help support our family and enable me to care for Florence. Whilst I have continued to work in my job in the NHS, working has been a real struggle whilst caring for Florence at the same time. The money would also help pay for an enabler, who can manage her medical needs, which would allow us to spend some quality time with her little brother who has also been significantly impacted by her health condition.
