Flora Ramirez’s Funeral Expenses
Donation protected
Flora Ramirez was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was the epitome of selflessness, consistently looking to help friends and family with their needs no matter how little she had or what she was going through. She was a strong and resilient woman who faced every challenge in her life with courage and confidence instilled in her by God. She was always cheerful and quite hilarious. She loved telling and hearing jokes with her friends and loved ones. Flora touched the lives of those who had the privilege of meeting her. Her kindness and ability to make you feel loved will forever be missed.
Flora was living with hepatocellular carcinoma (liver cancer) and liver cirrhosis in her last months with her family. Although her initial diagnosis left them with a bleak outlook on the time she had left, she never gave up. She continued to fight and was on her way to win her battle with cancer. One day, Flora woke up and was unable to move her legs. Her daughter and grandson rushed her to OHSU (a public research university and hospital) to see what was wrong. She was placed in ICU and was diagnosed with a spinal infection; a risky operation was needed in order for her to regain the ability to move her legs and to strengthen her spine. Thankfully, her procedure was a success and she was ready to leave the ICU and move into a regular room. But due to unanticipated medical complications, she was placed on life support. On May 21st, 2023, her family chose to let her be with God and live the rest of her days in heaven. This GoFundMe is being set up by her family to collect donations to help cover the costs of her funeral expenses. Any amount will be greatly appreciated.
