I am raising money because on May 7th, 2019, Kingwood Texas experienced 10 inches of rain in a small amount of time. Although we did not flood during Hurricane Harvey, a new developer behind our neighborhood raised their elevation so the water would drain towards our property which caused us flooding. My family lives check to check but something like this drains all of your extra savings. I fortunately have flood insurance though Allstate, but it only covers our house, not our belongings. So, it only took 6 inches of water to come in our home and ruin everything. I know some people might say why is he complaining about this to me? Well my insurance also will not cover living expenses like getting a hotel for my family, while a contractor rips out sheetrock. We will need a hotel while he sprays chemicals to kill the mold and then de-humidifies the house. This all takes time and money, so any help you could give us now, along with sharing this message with others, would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
