Flooding of BARRON FAMILY RANCH in Stillwater, MT

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Tiffany and I am fundraising for Wanda Wilcox and her family. There was a terrible flood in the county of Stillwater, MT this week that forced her family to evacuate their ranch. The height of the flood is now estimated to be 11 feet. This is a historic ranch of five generations and is home to the Barron family and hundreds of farm animals.

My husband and I had the amazing opportunity to stay with this family on our honeymoon this past May. Wanda and her husband, Tiny, were amazing hosts. We spent time with them and many of their family members, horseback riding, cattle driving, feeding the livestock, collecting eggs, etc. We actually stayed in their home just feet from this river that took over their home.

During our stay, we found our hearts touched over and over as the family members shared stories with us of the ranch and their family. We learned of the struggles they had been going through with a three year drought, lack of access to hay, the surge in the cost of hay and the lowballing by the meat companies of pricing for the sale of their livestock.

Wanda shared with us that she takes on the perspective that she can only do what she can and relies on prayer during hard times in keeping her ranch running. During the last few years, she was able to rely on extra money coming in from people around the world traveling to and vacationing at their ranch. Vacationing at their ranch includes joining in on any part of their daily tasks, horseback riding and all freshly cooked meals provided. The sweetest part for us was spending time with the family, learning the history of the ranch and in the stories of their love. I've never met anyone who is more humble, hardworking, devoted and as loving as is Wanda and also her husband, Tiny. In their world every person and every animal counts. When an animal is injured or sick, they tend to the animal with the extra love and care that they need to survive. Please click the link below to see the devastation as it is ongoing for this family and their town. I have also included a link to their website. Remember, there is no good deed too small.
