Hi, we are Lizzie and Steve. Our family including child and two dogs are now homeless. We’ve have fallen victims to the flooding from the recent storm. Our entire ground floor of our house is ruined with flood water rising to about 30cm and we’ve been told we can’t live there by the Fire & Rescue services.
We have home insurance and they are supporting us (slowly as expected due to the number of people in the same situation) but we can’t afford the initial costs that are required to rent a property or make the repairs needed to the car.
Our faith in humanity has significantly improved during this time with the level of emotional and practical support from friends and neighbours. And we now ask for financial support. We are proud people and we don’t normally ask for help. Anything you can donate to us would be gratefully received.
