Flooding & Electrical Damage on Christmas Weekend

Happy New Years! We're Nathan & Rachel, and our friends encouraged us to make this. Our apartment flooded the day after Christmas when the sprinkler system exploded all over our apartment complex. The water poured in through the walls and light fixture of our bedroom, making a sea of the carpet seeping through the wall into most of our front room. Our electrical system was compromised by the water so it hasn't been safe to stay in our apartment since Monday. Lots of items, like personal treasures under our bed and Christmas presents around our tree, were soaked by the flooding, and humidity continues to damage our belongings as we wait for insurance update us and for repairs to be made to the apartment. In the meantime, we could use help: affording a hotel, restocking ruined food, and replacing items insurance won't cover -- and possibly moving to a new place if needed. I know it's a terrible time of year for many, so any help is ecstatically appreciated. Wishing all of you a happier holidays than us!
