Flood victims in Pefki and Artemision Greece.

Update.

A big thank you to our friends who have donated to our funding appeal.

So far, we have raised £882.00. so we have dealt with the immediate need. £500.00 of your donations have been used to supply the entire village of Gouves with fresh bottled drinking water.

We will use the remaining money to buy much needed firewood for winter.

The recent catastrophic rainfalls in Pefki, and the surrounding areas of north Evia, Greece, have caused severe damage to homes and livelihood. Flooding has caused hardship to the already suffering region who were recently devastated by recent wildfires during which many homes and hundreds of miles of forest were lost.

Our home was severely affected, but our loss was small compared to the other nearby villages. The people need help to recover. If we can raise enough to assist, then I can help at least some of the suffering people.

This will benefit us all and we can go some way to repair the damage reaped upon us by this exceptional series of tragedies.

The location shown on this page is UK. But this site does not give Greece as an option. I will therefore distribute the funds from our UK bank account.
