Help Flood Victims Lisa & Scott - Lost Their Home
Donation protected
My parents, Lisa and Scott Stewart, were among the many families affected by the devastating flooding in Valley Grove, WV. At first, we thought their home only needed a basement cleanout. But once we got into it, we realized the damage was far worse. The home will need extensive repairs and all contents will need replaced due to water, mold and electrical damage.
They did not have homeowners or flood insurance to cover the loss. Additionally, earlier this year, my dad, Scott, had a heart attack, and much of their savings went toward related expenses during his time off. Now they’re left without a home and urgently need help to start over.
Lisa is a well-loved part of the community. She has made and donated hundreds of quilts to veterans over the years and was honored with a Legion of Honor award for her service. Scott served on the local fire department for many years, saving lives and supporting others through some of their worst moments. He, too, was recognized with an award for his service to the community.
Now, they need support from the same kind of community they’ve always given to.
We’re raising $25,000 to help them repair their home, replace what they’ve lost, and begin restarting. Every donation helps. And if you’re not able to give, sharing this means a lot too.
Thank you for your kindness. ❤️
