Flood victims at Weerona Holiday park Manning Point
Donation protected
After organising a fundraiser in 2022 to collect supplies for those impacted by the Lismore floods, I never imagined I’d be doing the same again — and this time, so close to home.
In November 2023, my mum and dad took over running Weeroona Holiday Park in Manning Point — a dream Mum had held for much of her life. Sadly, in early 2024, Mum was diagnosed with a terminal illness, and we heartbreakingly lost her in October. Since then, my dad and brother have been honouring her legacy by continuing to run the park with love and dedication.
Tragically, the recent East Coast Low that hit the Mid North Coast has devastated Weeroona Holiday Park. The entire park — including their home, the caravan park grounds, and all permanent and semi-permanent residences — has gone completely underwater. They have lost everything.
Feeling helpless in such a difficult time, I’m reaching out once again to the public, local businesses, and anyone who is willing to lend a hand.
I am currently organising another fundraiser to collect as many essential supplies as possible. Just like in 2022, I plan to hire a truck and drive it to Manning Point as soon as the floodwaters recede.
A list of urgently needed items is attached to my facebook page and drop off location provided. This go fund me is set up for those wishing to help in some way but unable to donate in the way of items.
If you’re unable to donate, simply sharing this post would mean the world — helping us reach more people and give some hope back to those who have lost so much.
