Flood Restoration for Judy
Donation protected

Our friend Judy Georges, a lecturer in American Studies at SJSU, got taken by surprise with intense flooding of Coyote Creek into her home not far from campus. With no flood insurance, she has serious, costly repairs to help make her home livable again. She has always been there for others her entire life--and still is, even in this situation. Now is the time for her friends, her community, and even compassionate folks who haven't yet had the pleasure of her company to band together to help this good soul regain her house.

Here are some images that show the status of the home four days after the flood waters receded and approximately fifty volunteers helped clean out the muck and waste.

Although the project could exceed $100,000 in costs, we are targeting 20% as our goal to help this friend and neighbor who would help anyone else in need. We invite you to make someone else's sorrow and strife a little bit easier by joining us in this campaign.
Here are some other rooms that need work and attention, as the entire first floor was flooded and the home has been yellow tagged.

As a widow, Judy is limited with funds and energy to restore her home herself. She has an amazing contractor donating as much of his time and cost as he can, working with a cadre of volunteers on the first phase as you have seen in the above pictures.
Please join us as we embark on Phase Two of this restoration for our friend and colleague Judy. Now we need the funding to continue the process of restoring Judy's home. Our target date to achieve this goal is April 17, 2017, which also happens to be Easter.
