Flood relief fund for Kolhapur/Sangli (India)
Donation protected

Heavy rains and increased water levels in the rivers are causing water levels of more than 12 to 15 feet in the towns. More than 200,000 people and farm animals have been rescued and are being sheltered but many more are still stranded in their homes including my family. So far 30+ deaths have been reported.
Help from government authorities is slow as most of the connecting highways and streets are submerged. Indian defense forces has been called for help and are conducting rescue operations as well as local NGOs and volunteers are coming forward to help.
My friend Aniket Prakash Dhamangaonkar who lives in Sangli is hosting a rescue center. Along with his team he is helping more than 2000 people including kids and elderly people. These people may have to stay for days until they can safely return to their homes. Goal of this fund raiser is to get food and supplies.
