Flood Relief Fund: Carmen Davalos

Last month, there was a mandatory evacuation in place for the Rock Springs area of San Jose due to severe flooding of Coyote Creek.
Carmen, a mother of Athziri, a 5th grader at KIPP Heartwood, and a Family Recruiter with Rocketship for over 5 years, lived in the effected area and lost her car and all of her belongings after contaminated waters engulfed her apartment.
Thankfully, her and the kids are safe and living in temporary housing but everything was destroyed and she can no longer go back to her home.
We are reaching out to KIPP Bay Area and Rocketship friends and community members for help with anything you can donate to help Carmen with immediate relief including clothes, food, transportation and housing costs.
As Carmen continues to support her two kids in their academic success, it is our turn to help a family who has done so much for our Charter School community and families.
