Flood relief for Wayne & Noreen Moran in Lismore

Hi there, my name is Leigh daughter of Wayne & Noreen Moran who live in Lismore NSW.

2022 has seen them and everyone living in Lismore and the Northern Rivers region come face to face with the nightmare of losing their homes.

Waters peaked at 14.4m toppling the Levee and breaking previous flood records inundating the town in muddy water. Hundreds of people, including our parents were left stranded: on balconies, rooftops and in life threatening danger.

Our parents had no time to gather clothes or belongings, they were stuck inside their house with only centimetres left to the ceiling before the house filled with water. Waiting & praying someone would rescue them.

Luckily, they were rescued by their friend in his boat, who managed to get them to higher ground & are now staying with them as temporary accommodation.

Unfortunately they, like so many other's have lost everything. We are so heartbroken for them.
