Flood Relief for the Turners
Donation protected
Initial goal reached! The initial fundraising goal of $5,000 was achieved on 10/30. Thank you to all who donated! Your gift will go a long way in helping the Turner's rebuild, but still is only a fraction of what will be needed. To keep the momentum alive, I have increased the goal amount to $7,500. If you haven't already donated, it is not too late or if you have donated, but have friends that want to know how they can help, please consider posting a link on Facebook. Thanks again!

Ashleigh and Scott Turner and their two boys Blake and Tyler experienced devastating material losses in the Kingsland flood on October 16. They only had a few minutes warning before they had to evacuate. Lake LBJ rose ten feet in three hours at 5am! They were able to grab some essentials, but very little else. Their home of 18 years took on over four feet of water. They lost almost everything. Sadly, their insurance does not cover flood damage and they will have tremendous expenses in rebuilding their home in the coming months.
Please contribute what you can to help Ashleigh and Scott. The sooner we get them back in their house, the sooner Ashleigh will cook us all a giant pot of gumbo and some crawfish toast!
Also, don't forget to share this with others that may want to help.
