Flood Relief for Susana
Donation protected
Hi friends, and friends of friends! Thank you for taking the time to read about this fundraiser. My name is Lorena Ramirez and I live in San Diego, California; I am reaching out to gather help for my friend Susana Laso Jácome.
As some of you may know, San Diego got surprised with a severe storm that flooded parts of the County leaving affected residents without a home, vehicles and other necessities. Susana was unfortunately one of those; on Monday, January 22nd, 2024 around 10am, the amount of rain caused the river nearby her apartment in Lemon Grove to overflow, flooding the neighborhood in a matter of minutes. Thankfully she was rescued by lifeguards and evacuated with help of the SD Fire Department.
Susana lost all furniture, appliances and her vehicle (not to mention clothes, personal items, food, etc.) We are asking for contributions to help Susana get back on her feet, her first priority is getting back to work. Due to her multiple jobs she needs a reliable vehicle. Once she is able to find an affordable functional car, she will use any remaining money to get the necessities to rebuild her life.
Susana is a hardworking and caring woman who dedicates her time working in childcare (she was my son's nanny through his first year of life), she also works as part of the cleaning crew at McGill School of Success in South Park. She works tirelessly to help her family residing in Mexico and to be able to retire.
Thank you for reading and your generosity!
