Flood Relief for Santiago Family
Hello friends and family. I'd like to thank you in advance for taking the time to read this. As most of you may have heard on the news on August 11 the Peckman River rose fast after a line of savage thunderstorms tore through the area Saturday, soaking already-sodden ground with more than 7 inches of rain. This led the churning river to burst from its banks and sweep into a neighboring car dealership. Jeep Compasses bobbed in the water like children’s toys before lodging themselves under Route 46 overpass, building an artificial dam. This pushed the water westward, and within minutes, 4
feet of filthy, gasoline-laden floodwater poured through the unsuspecting neighborhoods. Unfortunately, my brother resides in one of those neighborhoods. Due to the flood he lost 2 vehicles and everything in the basement including a washer and dryer. As you can see from the photo, there were a lot of items that simply needed to be discarded for health and safety reasons. Renters insurance does not cover floods so you can see how devastating this could be. I am asking that you would join me in helping relieve some of the monetary stress that this has caused my brother's family. My brother has always been the kind of person to help those in need and right an injustice. This would be an amazing way to have the same kindness and generosity returned to him. There is no donation too small or big that won't be appreciated. I pray that as you give God will bless you and return it to you multiplied. Thank you for your generosity.
P.S. Let's continue to pray for our brothers and sisters affected by these events.
