Flood Relief for April & Michael

April and Michael Petillo were among those permanently displaced from their home due to the massive Labor Day flooding in Manhattan Kansas. They had just moved, unpacked, stocked their fridge and freezer, and settled into their new home before the floods hit. Here is a snippet from April's Facebook post describing what happened:

"Five minutes after evacuating to the sounds of rushing flood waters running into the basement, our rented home sustained enough structural damage which has rendered it too dangerous to re-enter. (To be clear, the housing authority officials do not feel comfortable walking into the building.) Essentially, that means that we will need to begin rebuilding from what we were able to gather in those last moments."

Many of you have already reached out to ask how you can support April and Michael during this crisis. Donating funds to help them rebuild their lives is one clear-cut way to accompany and support April and Michael in their recovery from this devastation.

April and Michael have committed their lives to supporting others through crises, showing up for others in their struggles and times of need. It is time to show up for them. I hope you will give whatever you can, if you can. Thank you.
