Flood Relief for a Meg DeGraaf

Hey friends, this is Meg DeGraaf. On April 12th, what started as an unusually rainy day ended up leaving parts of South Florida under feet of water. Unfortunately, some areas were hit harder than others. On April 13, Lucy and I were one of many evacuated by Fire Rescue boat, as it wasn’t safe for us to remain in the house. This flood has left devastating damage to my home and destroyed almost all of my belongings.

I am now left without a place to live and without the majority of my belongings, as it is still not safe to venture into the area. I am still not sure if my car even made it.

By donating to this fund you are helping rebuild my life. Some things will never be able to be replaced (my grandma’s furniture, photos that were stored under my bed, items of sentimental value), but I will need to replace everything that I can. Whether it's $5 or $500, any amount helps and each donation is received with deep gratitude as I look toward finding a place to live and replacing belongings.
