I am Karin O'Mahony, Waimanalo resident and founder of Hoku Lio Farms, a non profit that offers farm and horse classes to children in Waimanalo. Hoku Lio Farms suffered damage in the recent floods on Oahu. Damage included a large tree falling on and damaging the horse shelter, the feed container flooded and $500 worth of hay and feed was lost, large trees fell on the fence. Worst of all, one of the horses, Aguacero, is suffering from medical issues due to he flooding and required daily visits from the veterinarian, to treat him as he was unable to be on his feet due to an abscessed hoof from standing in muck from the flooding.
