This week, severe flooding in San Diego turned our street into a river. My husband’s car was completely submerged and is a total loss. Because the vehicle did not have comprehensive coverage, insurance is not covering the damage.
This wasn’t a mechanical failure or an accident. It was a sudden flood caused by overwhelmed and poorly draining streets. The car cannot be repaired and must be scrapped.
We are asking for help to put together a down payment so he can lease a reliable vehicle and get back to work. Any contribution, no matter the size, helps close the gap left by an uninsured loss.
