Stand with Valencia! Be the light they need

My name is Andrea, and I grew up in Valencia, my beloved hometown. Today, I write to you with a heart full of sorrow and anguish as I watch from afar, helpless, while my city suffers unimaginable devastation. The recent floods have left Valencia drowning—not just in water, but in despair. Family and friends have lost nearly everything, their homes and spirits washed away.
Living outside of Spain now, the distance has never felt more painful. I can't be there in person to console my loved ones or to rebuild what the waters have destroyed. All I can do is offer my voice, my tears, and this plea: a call to action for anyone who can help. I am collecting funds to aid those suffering, to bring them the essentials that mean the difference between hope and hopelessness. Every small contribution is a lifeline, a gesture of humanity that can transform lives.
The government has turned a blind eye, leaving our people to fend for themselves. Many people and among them my grandfather, are trapped in their
house without electricity, without clean water to drink, without food to eat. He and countless others wait in the darkness, hoping someone, somewhere, will remember them.
Valencia is a small city, a place of warmth and life that now stands abandoned in its time of need. Please, help me bring aid to those who have lost everything. Every euro, every message of support matters. Your generosity can help rebuild homes, restore power, deliver clean water, and bring hope to my people when they need it most.
Thank you for listening to my cry for help. Thank you for remembering Valencia.
