I want to share a pressing situation affecting my friend Marlon, a tourist guide from Iquitos, Peru. His family is currently facing severe challenges due to recent flooding that has inundated their home. Marlon, along with his wife, two children, and elderly father, is struggling to cope with the situation.

He reached out to me for assistance in purchasing food and timber to raise their house. I’m reaching out to see if anyone has the capacity and willingness to help. Any contribution, no matter how small, would be greatly appreciated. This crisis extends beyond Marlon's family, with hundreds, if not thousands, of families affected by the flooding. This phenomenon, known as El Niño, occurs approximately every ten years, resulting in significant hardship for many.
