Help Our Queer Neighbors Recover From the Flood!

Donation protected
Update: Due to anti-trans layoffs, we will be supporting Jamie, Edenne and Scott with fuel costs as they start their new jobs!

Update! Thank you to everyone who contributed! We are still repairing (cars, roofs, basements) and any additional support will go directly to help us and our neighbors get back on our feet!

We are a collection of queer households living off-grid in Plainfield, Barre, and the Caledonia County area, who were affected by the flooding. Three basements were flooded, one house was destroyed, several yurts were swept away by the river currents, and our community garden was flooded out and will be re-seeded for a small fall harvest if we can manage it. We've also been providing support for our neighbors during this time!

--

As road crews get everyone reconnected we will be focused on cleaning help, muckouts, rebuilding, and longer-term safety and repair for our community. We will be rebuilding our homes completely after they were washed away and appreciate your contribution to our efforts towards continued stability.

A few households here will be relocating permanently to drier land, while others will be rebuilding.

We hope everyone stays safe and dry during this difficult time,

Thank you,

Scott Taylor
