Flood Damages for Missy Butterworth

  My sister, Melissa Butterworth,  is one of the hardest working, most reliable people I've known.  Her career as a Registered Nurse is only a prelude to her caring nature. In her personal life, she goes above and beyond to help anyone in need.
  As a Myrtle Beach resident of more than twenty years, Missy has weathered her fair share of storms.  As Hurricane Florence approached,  she was busy making sure that others were prepared and/or evacuated before she hunkered down to ride it out.  
  The initial impact of Florence has proven less formidable than the aftermath of rising waters.  All she could do was wait and pray, while the Wacamaw River and the Intracoastal Waterway made their way into her home.
  As for myself, a lifelong resident of Elk River, WV,  I am, painfully, aware of the disposition held by  insurance companies. In terms of policy, flood insurance is not required if your home is not in a flood zone (as her's is not). Then, something like this happens and you are left with devastating damages and alone with the task of rebuilding.
