Flood Damage but insurance won't cover it

This is one of my biggest nightmares ever. A flood in the mountains is a thing I've never expected, and I had no idea how devastating it can be. On Friday, July 23rd, our downstairs window well was filled with about 4-5 ft of water before exploding the window and destroying everything in Jordyns room (one of my athletes staying with me) and everything downstairs. As you can see in the video above, this is no little rainstorm or a little bit of water. The water was pouring in and trashing everything downstairs, including computers, cameras, clothing, snowboard gear, memorabilia and more.

Jordyn is one of my athletes staying with me, and in the video, her room was submerged under 10 inches of water. Jordyn moved from Big Bear, Ca, to train with me in colorado to pursue her Olympic dreams as a snowboarder. She just moved in about two months back and has been hit hardest by this freak accident.

And the nightmare continues; the renter's insurance will not cover water from outside the house, meaning flood damage. Floods are not a thing in the mountains, but I guess I was terribly wrong and don't fully understand the power of mother nature.

I'm a prideful person, and I only ask for help when I really need it. I'm reaching out to the community to help me and Jordyn get through this freak and weird time. I appreciate all the support and anything thing helps. Thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤️
