JOIN THE FLOCK!

Participate in an open, honest and transparent ‘Idahome Grown’ charity art event, Flock the Rock. This event supports & commemorates the beloved cancer survivors in your life, while simultaneously aiding & benefiting survivors across the Treasure Valley who are dealing with the unique emotional and physical effects of being a cancer survivor.

WHAT IS FLOCK THE ROCK?

Rock Bottom Granite’s Flock the Rock charity art event features hand-poured keepsake rocks that will be painted with our Flamingo mascot, (the flamingo is Flock Cancer Idaho’s mascot) using step-by-step art techniques like stenciling and dot art. Personalize your rock with a dedication, message, signature or date. Use as a gift or keepsake to commemorate our united fight against cancer through the Flock the Rock event. A minimum $20 donation is needed to participate in the event, and all proceeds will benefit Flock Cancer Idaho, Bustin’ Out of Boise, and the YMCA Oncology Recovery Therapy Program. Rock Bottom Granite has a total goal of $5,000 to be donated to Flock Cancer Idaho.

WHEN IS FLOCK THE ROCK?

Join us to create your own commemorative rock and support this important cause on Saturday, April 30th, from 10am – 2pm. The event will be hosted at Rock Bottom Granite, located at 5103 N Sawyer Ave, Garden City, ID, 83714.

CAN WE FLOCK ANOTHER WAY?

Feel free to share the event online with the hashtag #flocktherock or tell friends, family, coworkers & neighbors.

WHO IS FLOCK THE ROCK?

Flock the Rock is a community, charity art event created & hosted by the co-owners and mother-and-son duo of Rock Bottom Granite, Gisele & Brian Pope. With the integral support of Flock Cancer Idaho and Bustin’ Out of Boise, Flock the Rock offers the community a creative, sentimental, and personal way to give back to Treasure Valley survivors with hand painted, commemorative, keepsake rocks. This is our joint opportunity to show how much we care financially, and personally.

Both Brian and Gisele have lost family members to various forms of cancer and have seen first hand the daily struggles that affect each patient. Rock Bottom’s own Jim Pope is a cancer survivor of over twenty years. This is an important cause for us, and many of you. That is why we will gladly support the local survivor community!

FLOCK YEA!

Rock Bottom Granite is so privileged to belong to such a generous community of customers, friends and family who work with us in our fundraising efforts. Every dollar raised goes to helping cancer patients in their daily struggle to make it through the day in the midst of their personal fight. Nonprofits like Bustin’ Out of Boise and Flock Cancer Idaho recognize these daily struggles and step in with food, home cleaning, therapy, yardwork, daily chores and other outside pressures that create anxiety for these future survivors. Our joint effort helps fund those efforts and lets them focus on recovery.
