In the early morning hours of September 2, 2026, life changed unexpectedly for our friend Travis Abadie and his sweet family, his partner Kiera, and 10-month-old daughter, Ronin.

At 5:30 a.m., the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office knocked on their door with the US Marshall's Fugitive Task Force. Travis was arrested in Destin, Florida, and charged with felony criminal mischief in connection with an incident involving a FLOCK camera on Airport Road in Destin, FL.

The charge stems from allegations surrounding Travis’s presence when the FLOCK camera fell over.

Now, Travis and his family are facing something they never expected: the tremendous financial burden of immediately retaining a criminal defense attorney.

We are asking our friends, family, and community to help us raise $6,500 to cover the upfront legal fees necessary to retain counsel and begin Travis’s defense.

An arrest and criminal charge are allegations—not a conviction. Travis deserves the opportunity to have the circumstances surrounding the FLOCK camera incident fully investigated, the evidence reviewed, and his rights protected through the legal process.

Behind the arrest report, the FLOCK camera, and the criminal charge is a real family, suddenly trying to navigate an incredibly frightening situation.

There is Kiera, trying to hold everything together while their family faces an enormous and completely unexpected legal expense.

There is Ronin, who deserves stability and reassurance while the adults around her work through what comes next.

And there is Travis, who deserves the opportunity to defend himself with an attorney who can investigate exactly what happened, review the available evidence, and advocate for him in court.

Our immediate goal is $6,500.

The funds raised will be used toward the upfront cost of bonding Travis out of jail, retaining a criminal defense attorney, and the initial legal expenses associated with Travis’s felony criminal mischief case involving the FLOCK camera. If donations exceed the initial goal, additional funds will be used to cover ongoing attorney fees and other expenses directly related to his defense and giving Ronin the future she deserves.

We know $6,500 is a tremendous amount for one family to suddenly come up with, but it’s an achievable amount when a community comes together.
