The Sea Clown Sailing Circus and Esperantos Water Culture are thrilled to come together for the first time to present an all new project, the creation of a Voyaging Nautical Venue!
A new creative space for sharing sustainable living practices and acrobatic artistry with shoreside communities throughout Greece.
We have the boat, now we need your help to get it Ship Shape and ready for a circus show! The catamaran style makes it a perfect size for a floating stage, however, a few adjustments are needed for her transformation to a seafaring circus Big Top.
With additional rigging equipment multiple aerialists and musicians will be seen suspended in the air and above the water, creating an immersive and playful event for our audiences.
With fresh lights the Sea Clowns will no longer be restricted by the hours of sunlight and able to offer fully lit evening shows, not dissimilar from the atmosphere of a traditional circus tent.
Microphones and amplifiers will allow for our band to be heard far and wide, giving the ears of our audiences the joyful sounds of our Orza Orchestra.
We even believe we can install a fitted trampoline that will provide our acrobats an extra space for exciting tricks and flips!
If this vision can be realised in the summer of 2022, the hope is to continue the collaboration into the spring and summer of 2023, taking the sailing spectacle to islands and ports of Greece that can’t be reached this summer.
The Sea Clown Sailing Circus is a colourful sea-faring circus living and promoting sustainable lifestyles and technologies. Our nomadic band of merry musicians and acrobatic activists combine the playful and daring spirit of the travelling circus with an attention to low-emissions travel and environmental impact.

Esperantos Water Culture built the Catamaran ‘Esperantos’ with a vision to both protect the environment and serve as a stage for theatre, concerts, and performances which invite the audience closer to the water.
