Flo's 50th Marie Curie gift
Dearest friends,
The greatest gift for my birthday will be seeing so many of you in France in a few weeks' time. It means the world to me that you are making the effort to travel and to be with us for the occasion. I dont't want, and I am certainly in no need of anything else.
However, as some of you have asked whether I wanted a gift (yes, I know who you are ;-)) , I have set up this fundraising campaign for the Marie Curie Cancer Care organisation. Feel free, but not obliged, to make a small contribution, which will get transferred directly to the charity with no fees, commissions or deductions.
The Marie Curie hospice has a special place in my heart for the excellent care they took of my late and dear friend Cristina a few years ago - which is why I have chosen to support them.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart, for your kind donations, but even more importantly, for your precious friendship.

Le meilleur cadeau que vous me faites est d'être parmi nous dans quelques semaines pour fêter mon anniversaire en France. J'ai beaucoup de chance, et je n'ai certainement besoin de rien d'autre.
Cependant, comme certains de vous ont insisté (si, si, je sais qui vous êtes ;-)), j'ai créé cette campagne de fonds pour l'organisation Marie Curie Cancer Care. Si vous le voulez, et n'y voyez aucune obligation, vous pouvez faire un petit don qui sera transféré directement à cette organisation, sans frais, commission ou déduction.
L'Hospice Marie Curie m'est très cher, car il a pris soin d'une façon inouïe de mon amie Cristina il y a quelques années à la fin de sa vie. C'est pour cela que je les ai choisi comme organisation.
