Help for David and Gae Moore

Hello, my name is Kenton. My father, David Kent Moore has recently been diagnosed with Creutzfeldt-jakob-disease(CJD) and is rapidly declining.

CJD is an extremely rare terminal illness affecting the brain and nervous system.  The disease is a prion that attacks proteins in the brain and causes severe neurological symptoms with rapid progression leading to coma and death. There are no known curative treatments.

His symptoms began in November and he has been placed in a full-time care center to keep him comfortable before he passes into the next life.

If you ever knew David you knew he was a man dedicated to service and family. He did his utmost to raise his children/grandchildren with love and he loved to serve his community. He is a dedicated father of 4 and grandfather to 14. His greatest wishes were always to see his family together, loving and supporting each other. He never liked the idea of me moving my small family to France but he supported me regardless and went out of his way to show his love. I am eternally grateful to him.

It's been very hard to watch him go through this, even from so far away. It's been very hard for all of our family to go through this.

Were going to raise funds for David's passing so that we can give him the burial and memorial that he deserves. He was much loved by the many many people who knew him.

All donations gathered will go to my mother, Gae Lanette Moore and our family to help cover funeral costs. 

If contributions exceed her needs, those funds will be dedicated to a charity for victims and family of CJD.
