Hey, it's Janay. I'm devastated to be writing this, but I'll leave Japan after nearly 5 years.

Last month I lost my job, was unable to get a new visa, and was ordered to leave Japan by April 23rd. As this is unexpected and I'm without work, I have no savings to purchase a flight to Calgary ($1000) or cover housing when I get back to Canada ($1200 for monthly rent)

These funds are emergency funds. If I overstay I run the risk of being detained or deported. It is essential.

Any amount, big or small, is appreciated.
