My daughter has been given an amazing opportunity to join a school-sponsored trip to Washington, D.C. and New York City in the summer of 2025, learning with a hands-on approach about her country in ways not available to us here in Kansas City. This trip will be a life-changing experience, expanding her horizons and allowing her to grow in ways I could've only dreamt of at 13!

Like many kids, her elementary school years were heavily impacted by COVID restrictions, limiting so many of the experiences that make those years special. This trip is a chance for her to reclaim some of that lost time, experience the culture outside the Midwest, walk firsthand through the history she's been learning, and create lasting memories.

The base costs of the program have been covered, both by hard work and extra hours on our end and some amazing contributions by family - so this is happening! However, what wasn't accounted for in the budgeting was the rapid change in prices of goods and food, both of which are a static within the trip fundraising. In order to let her focus on the experience, the educational elements, and be as stress-free as possible, any extra we can put in her account before departure will keep her focus 100% on this school trip!

Any amount we raise will be added to her Till account provided by EF America, the tour company, so no cash will be at risk of being lost.
