For those of you that don’t know me, my name is Lucas Ziskin and I am a senior studiong TV and Film Production at Loyola Marymount University. For as long as I can remember I have wanted to be in the entertainment industry, and attending film school in Los Angeles was how I saw myself getting there. After three dedicated years to learning the ins and outs of filmmaking, I finally have an opportunity to prove to myself and the world that I really can make it as a filmmaker. This month, I will be shooting the biggest project of my life so far. It’s a thriller/comedy titled Flesh & Blood.

Based on a true story, the film follows Tiffany and her best friend/roommate Samantha as they drag Samantha’s little sister Kylie out for a night drinking with them. In an attempt to bond with her older sister, Kylie has a bit too much to drink at the pregame. When the apocalypse starts, Kylie is black out drunk, leaving the girls to make the decision to leave her behind after a zombie breaks into their house. Tiffany and Samantha must use their wits and strength to defeat the zombie and make it out alive, but there’s a secret about the zombies that will prove to be deadly for our protagonists.

The process of getting this film made has already been incredibly rewarding but making this has proven to be COSTLY. The film is getting the entirety of it’s budget from donations through GoFundMe and I still have a ways to go before I reach my goal.
