I am currently trying to escape an abusive marriage through khulʿ (Islamic divorce), but I cannot afford the legal fees, nor do I have the means to move out safely on my own. My husband has been emotionally, physically, and sexually abusive. I am mentally and physically exhausted, and staying is no longer an option — it is a danger to my health and wellbeing.

Unfortunately, the cost of pursuing a khulʿ, along with the financial burden of finding new housing and rebuilding my life, is overwhelming. I have no family I can safely turn to, and very limited resources.
