In 2014 I was diagnosed with stage 4 incurable and rare cancer (Medullary Thyroid Cancer /MTC). After 8 hours of surgery, I then had 6 weeks of Radiotherapy. It was a long and challenging road to recovery.

In 2019, My cancer had spread to my lungs!! Not great, but I'm still positive.

In October 2024, I found out that it's spread to my pelvic bone, so had cyberknife radiotherapy. Still not great, however, I still remain positive and can confirm it has started to reduce in size.

My Dad has had cancer for something like 30+ years, my friends can't believe how he does it, but he does! I like to think I follow in his footsteps and my 2 boys will be thinking the same in years to come. I also have Psoriatic Arthritis and mental health issues.

In March last year I decided that I really needed to improve my fitness and so I started doing something which I actually hate... RUNNING!!  I've always hated long distance running, but............ I've always wanted to complete a marathon. In May I completed a half marathon. So...... it's now or never!!
