Hello, my name is Juan, and I’m writing this on behalf of my mother-in-law and our entire family. We are reaching out to our friends, neighbors, and kind-hearted community members to ask for help during an incredibly difficult time.

My father-in-law, Flavio, was recently diagnosed with Trigeminal Neuralgia — a rare and extremely painful neurological condition, because of the excruciating facial and head pain it causes.

Flavio’s wife, my mother-in-law, works as a dedicated custodian at Painted Rock Elementary School in the Poway Unified School District. She takes great pride in her work, ensuring a safe and clean environment for the children. However, with Flavio’s condition, the financial and emotional burden on their family has become overwhelming. Medical treatments, specialist visits, medications, and potential surgical procedures are incredibly costly, and insurance only covers a fraction of the expenses.

This diagnosis has brought tremendous emotional and financial hardship to our family. As much as they’ve tried to handle things on their own, the mounting medical bills and uncertainty have left us with no choice but to humbly ask for support.

We are turning to our community — friends, neighbors, coworkers, and compassionate souls — to help lift some of this weight off their shoulders. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a difference in helping Flavio get the care he desperately needs and bringing some relief to a family that has always worked hard and given back to others.
