One of Flava's favorite places was the Hogle Zoo. Trips to the zoo were commonplace in the Sacco household. Flava loved to watch the bird show, check in on whatever new baby animal had been born, and watch the polar bears play in the water in the heat of summer. Most of all she loved to spend time at the zoo with her kids, and then later in life with her granddaughters Ava and Grace, who were the ‘light of her life’, and she theirs.  

In lieu of flowers, the family would like to raise donations for Utah’s Hogle Zoo, and a commemorative bench where family and friends may visit. Her favorite spot was "by the polar bears".
