FLATS Noritsu and Frontier Scanner Fund!

Howdy!

I'm M and I work at FLATS Lab in the heart of Houston Texas

Before I worked at FLATS, I would bring my film here and over time got the pleasure of knowing Jessi, the owner.

Jessi is an incredible, driven woman who single handedly started the lab to try and bring film processing, scanning, and a darkroom to our growing film community. She wants nothing more than to bring the best possible client experience to every person who comes to FLATS.

Jessi brought me on in early November of 2020 and It has been one of, if not the best, jobs I have had the privilege of working. She is a boss who is supportive, kind, hardworking, and passionate about what she wants not only for the folks who work here but for the the city as a whole.

Recently FLATS has been put into a rather uncomfortable and unfortunate situation. To keep it concise, we are down 2 scanners that have helped our workflow and make the folks that drop off film with us love the images they receive.

The way we see it is that now it is time for us (my coworker Jeremy and I) to express that gratitude the best way we can which is starting this GOFUNDME to help alleviate any (or all) financial strain this will bring someone who we not only see as an employer but an ESSENTIAL person in our community.

I love film more than I love anything in this world and Jessi has given me the opportunity to surround myself with what I love, she deserves our help and damn are we gonna give it to her!
