Hi, my name is Micheal Allen and I’ve just been selected to represent Team USA at the 2025 IFSS World Dryland Championships in the 1-Dog BikeJoring Masters Class, October 21–26 in Minocqua, Wisconsin.

At 68 years young, I’ll be racing against top competitors from over 50 countries in an extreme, high-speed event where man and dog race as one. My goal? To inspire, motivate, and prove that age and adversity don’t define what you’re capable of.

Less than three years ago, I entered my first BikeJoring race. I barely finished. But thanks to my adopted sister Mikki (a fierce, best-in-the-nation competitor herself), I fell in love with the sport and never stopped pushing forward.

What most people don’t know is how close I came to never competing again. In 2018, I was diagnosed with heart block—my heart was running at just 35% capacity at under 45 bpm for over two years while I was still training! A whirlwind of pacemaker surgeries, complications, and a near-fatal 252 bpm heart rate led to a final ablation procedure. Somehow, I came out the other side, was cleared by my cardiologist, and climbed back onto the bike.

Now, I’ve been selected as one of just three athletes to represent Team USA at the World Championships—and I need your help to get there.

What Your Support Covers:

Travel from Oregon to Wisconsin

Lodging and meals

Entry fees and race apparel

Specialized bike equipment and dog gear

Shipping costs for my race bike

Goal: $5,100 by October 4, 2025

Every contribution makes a difference, and to show my gratitude, I’ll be offering special donor incentives (details coming soon in an update!). Think of it as a way to be part of the team right alongside me.

If you want to be part of a true comeback story and help me fly the flag for the USA at 68, please consider donating. Every dollar brings me closer to the start line—and a finish that proves warriors never retire.
